Mark Baird
Development Chair
After getting his MFA Degree in Poetry, Mark started adjuncting at a multitude of schools. While on a summer break, he accepted a job as a Tram Driver at Grounds For Sculpture, a 42-acre sculpture garden, in Central Jersey and thus began his career in the world of Museums. He is now the Manager of Guest Services and first became involved with the Visitor Experience Conference by presenting in 2016. Since then he has been involved with the VEX Events and Operations Team and is now a Board Member for Development. Mark enjoys both large established museums and smaller road-side attractions and oddities he finds in his travels. He plays in a folk-punk band, is an avid board game enthusiast, and has seen the Groundhog accurately prognosticate the weather 14 years in a row.
