The Visitor Experience Conference combines workshops, panels, networking events and more to provide museum professionals with approaches to understanding the visitor experience. The conference began as the Greater Philadelphia Visitor Services Symposium in 2012, a gathering of local visitor experience professionals over a half-day of talks at the Academy of Natural Sciences in Philadelphia, and quickly grew into an internationally-recognized conference in a few short years.

Today, VEX offers a range of professional learning opportunities. From keynote and panel sessions, behind-the-scenes tours, half-day workshops, and lots of social events to meet and talk with colleagues. Each year, we look for more programming to add to the conference experience.

The Visitor Experience Conference is the platform for museum professionals at all levels of their career to share best and emerging practices in the Visitor Experience sector and provide specialized knowledge to take your organization to the next level. Attendees tend to come from the Visitor Experience and Visitor Services field, but we have also welcomed consultants, exhibition developers/designers, volunteer managers, directors, ticketing and database companies, and more.
